Johnny Depp’s defamation case is currently in its fifth week in Fairfax, Virginia.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has finished testifying and Amber Heard recently took to the stand.
However, the trial, which began on April 11th, is now taking a 10-day break as Judge Penney Azcarate had a scheduling conflict.
The trial is set to resume on May 16th at 9 am, but it’s still a hot topic of conversation on social media.
Over on Twitter, people are revisiting the actress’ roles and can’t believe she starred in the famous 2008 movie Never Back Down.
Amber Heard starred in ‘Never Back Down’
Over a decade ago, the Aquaman actress starred in the film Never Back Down, when she was just 22 years old.
Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Never Back Down is an American martial arts film released in 2008 that stars Sean Faris, Cam Gigandet, Evan Peters and Amber Heard.
It follows the story of a teenager, Jake Tyler, who moves from Iowa to Orlando and attends a new high school where he joins an underground fight club.
In the movie, Amber Heard plays a blonde girl called Baja Miller who is Jake’s love interest. She was initially dating the high school bully before developing feelings for the lead character, played by Sean Paris.
The noughties movie has just one star on Rotten Tomatoes and gained mostly negative reviews but took in $24.8 million at the box office and had a sequel in 2011 nonetheless.
Twitter only just realised it’s her
People have only just released that the ‘blonde chick’ from the 2008 movie is Amber.
Everyone really can’t believe it’s her.
Twitter is in disbelief.
Some are comparing the movie to the Johnny Depp trial.
The actress’ other movie roles
The 36-year-old is best known for starring in DC’s Aquaman and the drama movie The Rum Diary, which is where she met Johnny Depp.
However, she’s actually been in over 20 movies including 3 Days To Kill (2014), Paranoia (2013) and The Stepfather (2009).
She was also in the American series, Friday Night Lights, the 2009 film Zombieland and rom-com The Danish Girl.
Her other notable roles include The Ward (2010), The Joneses (2009), Syrup (2012) and Magic Mike XXL (2015).
Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard for defamation because of an op-ed she published in The Washington Post in 2018. Heard is countersuing Depp. The trial is set to continue.
