Jamie Carragher has urged Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Twitter to drop points against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United following Liverpool’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Anfield in the Premier League last night.
The Reds are now level on points with second-placed and last season’s champions Manchester City at the top of the table.
However, City are in action today.
The Citizens will take on Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium later today.
Former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Carragher has urged Manchester City to drop points against Newcastle.

Jamie Carragher’s message to Manchester City after Tottenham
In our opinion, Manchester City will win against Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League today.
City have a far superior team, and Newcastle’s season is basically over.
We do not think that City will drop points today, which will be bad for Liverpool.
In our view, City should be able to win their final Premier League games of the season and win the Premier League title yet again.
However, the Citizens cannot be complacent.
