Michael Owen has praised Liverpool winger Luis Diaz on Premier League Productions for his performance against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The former Liverpool striker was impressed by Diaz’s work-rate in the first half of the Premier League game between the Reds and Spurs.
Owen believes that the £37 million January signing from FC Porto is a “superstar”.
Diaz started the match for Liverpool and scored in the second half.

Owen said on Premier League Productions at half time: “I thought it was a good game, I didn’t want the half to end.
“Diaz since he’s signed has been a superstar, but what about that work-rate? They press the ball and sustain the press, but Spurs are so dangerous on the counter.”

Anfield hero
In our opinion, Owen is spot-on with his comments on Liverpool winger Diaz.
The Colombia international winger has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water and has established himself as a key figure in Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Diaz scores goals, creates chances for his teammates, is always available for the ball, links up play well, and works hard for the team.
The winger helped Liverpool win the Carabao Cup, and he will prove to be a big player in the Reds’ quest to win the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League in the final weeks of the campaign.
Liverpool did well to sign Diaz, who is still only 25 and has his best years ahead of him.
