Fulham will sign Manor Solomon from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk with the winger admitting to Sport5 that his move to the Premier League is set to be completed sooner rather than later.
Things have gone a little quiet regarding Solomon’s potential £7 million switch to Craven Cottage.
But fear not Fulham fans. A player compared to Eden Hazard, one previously targeted by Manchester City and a scorer of two Champions League goals against Real Madrid, will be playing his football under Marco Silva in 2021/22
“I cannot say that everything is finished and that I have already left Shakhtar and signed in England. It’s not there yet,” Solomon explains.
“But the chances of me playing in England (next season) are very high. It is my childhood dream. It’s the best league in the world. I will be there.”
According to reports in his native Israel, Solomon has agreed a £25,000-a-week contract at a Fulham side who secured the Championship title by hammering Luton Town 7-0 on Bank Holiday Monday.
The West London outfit will pay a cut-price fee of £7 million, with Solomon’s asking price taking a substantial dip following the breakout of war in Ukraine.
Manor Solomon to Fulham as Fabio Carvalho’s replacement
“Last year, very large clubs were mentioned that I could have moved to. We were in negotiations with several clubs which, in the end, did not work out,” says Solomon, who was linked with Arsenal and Newcastle in 2021.

“But my goal has always been the English league. Even players who play in the big leagues in Germany, Spain and Italy eventually want to move to England, even if not to the biggest teams.
“In England, it’s the fastest, most physical game, with the best fans and the best atmosphere. Every team has some small players, dribblers who like the ball. Hopefully I will fit in there.”

Solomon could fill a void created by Fabio Carvalho’s long-awaited move to Liverpool in Marco Silva’s free-scoring frontline.
