Well, we’re no closer to discovering the future of Arsenal-linked Paulo Dybala.

Dybala’s £222,000 per week contract expires at Juventus this summer and he looks poised to leave on a free transfer.

Staying in Turin hasn’t been ruled out but the closer it gets to termination time, the more likely it is that he’ll be moving on.

And Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that staying at Juve is simply not an option for the Argentina international, who Arsenal have opened talks to sign in recent months, it’s been reported.

Romano says that he is absolutely leaving the Serie A outfit and also commented on speculation about Inter Milan, after his agent publicly denied rumour that he was set to join the San Siro club.

He told Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel: “For sure it’s a possibility [joining Inter]. Inter are interested in Paulo Dybala, then it depends on players they will sell in the summer. He’ll need to make a decision because he will 100 percent leave Juventus.”

Arsenal buoyed

The fact that he’s definitely leaving Juventus is certainly a boost for the Gunners, who desperately need additional strikers this summer.

With Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette leaving North London, Folarin Balogun looks poised to be Mikel Arteta’s only number nine for a while during the transfrer window – and he’s 20, with virtually no Premier League experience.

So yep, centre-forwards will be the order of the day for Arsenal and it’ll be fascinating to see if Dybala materialises.
