Goal journalist Charles Watts has reported on Twitter that Cedric Soares wants to stay at Arsenal despite reported interest from Newcastle United and FC Porto.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Cedric does not want to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Watts has added that those close to the £75,000-a-week right-back (Spotrac) have dismissed rumours linking the 30-year-old Portugal international with Newcastle and FC Porto.
Tuttomercatoweb reported this week that Newcastle and Porto are interested in the Portuguese right-back.
Cedric Soares wants Arsenal stay

In our opinion, Cedric Soares should seriously consider his future at Arsenal if he wants to play regularly.
Yes, Arsenal are a big club and could return to the Champions League next season, but the 30-year-old is unlikely to play week in and week out for Mikel Arteta’s side.
After all, Takehiro Tomiyasu is the first-choice right-back at Arsenal, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
Cedric has made 13 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
In our view, Cedric will not become a first-choice right-back at Arsenal and should look at moving to a new club.
