Rumour has it that Graham Potter is among the coaches who Tottenham Hotspur could appoint [The Daily Mail], in the event Antonio Conte quits his role in North London this summer.
Speculation is rife that the Italian manager could replace Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this season.
Conte doesn’t appear to be hugely happy at Tottenham and there were a number of explosive interviews that he did earlier this year which proved as much.
Spurs supporters know all about Potter after his Brighton & Hove Albion secured a 1-0 victory away to the Lilywhites only a couple of weeks ago.
And even Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the Seagulls boss.
Speaking to Sussex World in January of last year, Guardiola described Potter as probably the ‘best English manager’ in football at the moment.
He said: “We were in front of the best English manager right now. You have to be a top side to play that way. I am more than delighted to [have possession of] the ball, most of the time in the game.”
It’s high praise coming from Guardiola, who is arguably the best football manager in all of football right now and no doubt Tottenham fans will be excited to hear their next potential coach has a fan in someone like the Manchester City man.
