West Ham United could make a bid for Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, according to Miguel Delaney’s Reading The Game column for The Independent.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Delaney has written in his column that Arsenal are offering Pepe to clubs.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to sell the Ivory Coast international winger for £25 million, and London and Premier League rivals West Ham could make a move.

Should West Ham bid for Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe?

In our opinion, West Ham should not make a bid for Arsenal winger Pepe in the summer transfer window.

For £25 million, the Hammers would get a far better and more consistent winger.

Yes, the 26-year-old is a good player, but we have seen from his time at Arsenal that he is not very consistent.

If he was, then Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would play him regularly.

Pepe has made five starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners so far this season.

The winger has scored one goal and given one assist in those matches.

Moreover, Pepe earns £140,000 per week as salary (The Sun).

That is quite a lot of money for West Ham to pay, especially if the Hammers are not in the Champions League or the Europa League next season.
