Thierry Henry has stated that West Ham United will be a ‘tough’ opposition for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-final, as he bigged up Michail Antonio ahead of the game.
The legendary striker thinks if the German side aren’t used to a striker like West Ham’s all-action player, then he will prove to be ‘difficult’ for them to deal with, as he told CBS Sports (27/04/22 at 10:50 pm).
West Ham have the chance of making history and reaching their first European final in 46 years when they lock horns with Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final clash on Thursday night at the London Stadium.
The Hammers proved to be too much for Lyon during their road to the last four, whilst their opponents turned it up against Spanish giants, Barcelona.
Nonetheless, ahead of the game, this is the verdict Henry provided, as he praised West Ham’s man upfront.
“It will be a tough one against West Ham (for Eintracht Frankfurt), especially with the intensity of West Ham,” said Henry.
“If they play like that. To deal with Michail Antonio, if you aren’t used to playing against this type of striker, then he can be a bit difficult.”

Only a couple of seasons ago, West Ham were battling relegation, the owners were being heavily criticised and their captain was calling out the club for selling Grady Diangana.
Fast forward to today and the club are at the highest peak they have been for many, many years.
David Moyes has transformed this club, and without him, they probably wouldn’t be in this current position.
Mark Noble is going to hang up his boots at the end of the season and it would be quite the story if he ended it with the Europa League trophy in hand.
