Omar Marmoush admits that he is a regular watcher of Arsenal as the Premier League giants look to lure the Bundesliga starlet away from Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window, speaking to BILD

Stuttgart supporters have plenty of reasons to fear relegation.

Chief among them is the fact that, should Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side succumb to the dreaded drop, it seems highly unlikely that many of their star players will be sticking around at the Mercedes Benz Arena to help the 2007 German champions climb the ranks again.

Sasa Kalajdzic, Stuttgart’s sky-scraping centre-forward, has already turned down a new deal. Left-back Borna Sosa – arguably the best crosser of a ball outside of Anfield – admits that he too is free to leave.

The £22 million-rated Konstantinos Mavropanos, meanwhile, has a £10 million relegation clause in his contract.

And Marmoush, Stuttgart’s 23-year-old Egypt international loanee, is unlikely to return for another spell, even if Die Roten succeed in clawing their way out of the bottom three.

Is Omar Marmoush heading to England?

Despite providing just three goals and four assists in 20 Bundesliga matches, BILD claims that the skilful Marmoush is attracting admiring glances from Arsenal and North London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur.

“My dream is the Premier League,” admits Marmoush. “I don’t have a favorite club, but I watch Arsenal and Liverpool a lot.”

That may have something to do with the fact Mo Salah, a close friend of Marmoush, plies his trade on Merseyside. Arsenal also have an Egyptian international of their own in the shape of midfield general Mohamed Elneny.

And the chances of Marmoush joining Salah and Elneny in England look good, especially with just over 12 months left on his deal at parent club Wolfsburg.

“I still have a year’s contract in Wolfsburg,” adds Marmoush, a month on from scoring a wonderful free-kick against Augsburg.

“And I’m going back there in the summer (after my spell at Stuttgart). But who knows what will happen in the future?”

Liverpool have made a habit of signing exciting young forwards with plenty of room for development in the trophy-laden Jurgen Klopp era.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are also building their side around promising up-and-comers. They invested substantial sums on the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Albert Sambi Lokonga.
