Sanchez Watt has told his Twitter following that finishing in fourth place will be crucial, if Arsenal are to complete a move for Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus. The Gunners have been linked with a £35million move.

Jesus, 25, has spent the past five seasons at City since joining the club from Palmeiras. He has been superb for City, even if he does not get the credit he deserves. This season, he has produced 23 goal involvements in 35 games.

The Brazil international is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Manchester City – and it appears Pep Guardiola’s side are closing in on the addition of Erling Haaland. Little surprise then, that Jesus could go.

Football London claim that Arsenal are expected to lodge a bid of £35million for the striker – who has 93 goals in 230 Manchester City outings. Watt responded to the rumours, believe it is “smart” but top four is crucial.

Manchester City ace Jesus would be an incredible signing for Arsenal

If Manchetser City are willing to sell him for £35million, then it is an incredible bit of business. Jesus is one of Europe’s best strikers and only does not get into City’s side regularly because of Guardiola’s system.

If he joins a club like Arsenal, in desperate need of a striker, then he will only shine. The Emirates is perfect given the amount of Brazilians and Portuguese-speaking players at the club. Jesus will thrive at the Emirates.

He is just what they need. At £35million, too, he is a whole lot cheaper compared to the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Alexander Isak and Dom Calvert-Lewin – who were linked with £50m+ moves in the January window.
