According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are hoping to sign two players wanted by Newcastle and West Ham to replace Erling Haaland.
What’s the story?
Well, according to the Daily Mail, Haaland is on his way to Manchester City after a £500,000-a-week contract was agreed, ahead of his £63m release clause being triggered.
As a result, Borussia Dortmund are targeting two players to fill the void, as they eye Hugo Ekitike and Adam Hlozek.
Reims President Jean-Pierre Caillot has already confirmed that he rejected a bid from Newcastle for Ekitike, with the Magpies expected to make another offer this summer.
Elsewhere, it was 90min who claimed that Hlozek is a target for West Ham, as they look to add to their Czech Republic contingent in east London.

So far this season, Ekitike has scored ten goals in 24 appearances, while also providing four assists.
In Hlozek’s case, the 19-year-old has 11 goals in 43 appearances, as well as 15 assists.
Newcastle & West Ham must fight back
In our view, the Premier League duo have a mission on their hands to sign their respective targets now, as Borussia Dortmund are a hugely attractive club.
Both Ekitike and Hlozek are 19 years of age, and as we’ve seen in the likes of Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham, Christian Pulisic and Haaland, it’s a great place for young talent to prosper.

Therefore, it wouldn’t surprise us to see Ekitike and Hlozek both end up at the Signal Iduna Park.
The pair have incredible potential, and this may be Newcastle and West Ham’s one and only chance to sign them before they become expensive superstars at Borussia Dortmund.
Keep an eye on this saga, as anything could happen this summer.
