Dying Light 2 Update Adds New Game Plus Mode

Dying Light 2 Update 1.3.0 has a release date set for Wednesday, April 27, 2022. This will be a unified launch that brings the patch to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC platforms at the same time. Delays are still possible, so fans should make sure to watch for the latest news via developer Techland’s social media accounts.

If everything runs currently this week, gamers across all platforms should be able to start a New Game Plus Mode after installing Dying Light update 1.3.0. Like other such modes in popular titles, Game Plus will make it possible to retain your progress while starting the game from the beginning. The only real limitations will be that you will need to unlock the Paraglider and Grappling Hook again, as they are part of key story missions.

Dying Light 2 next-gen players will also notice new graphical options after downloading this week’s new patch. Techland has confirmed that new FOV sliders will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X, alongside some important bug fixes.

And as ever, fans can probably expect plenty more hotfixes and patch to be released going forward, as the development team have a large roadmap planned for the game. Fans are also expecting to see new DLC content arrive, unlocking parts of the map that are currently inaccessible.
