Leicester City are now joining the race for PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare amid links to both Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Leicester are turning to Sangare as they seek a major midfield addition.
Youri Tielemans’ future is unclear and Leicester seemingly want to add another midfielder to join Wilfried Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Leicester now appear to be focusing their attentions on Sangare and that’s no major shock.
Leicester faced PSV Eindhoven in the Europa Conference League quarter-finals, meaning they saw Sangare first-hand.
Brendan Rodgers was seemingly impressed with Sangare and Leicester could now launch their move.
However, PSV are understood to be demanding a huge £30million fee for Sangare.
Discussions are underway but Leicester will need to dig deep if they want to bring the Ivorian to the King Power Stadium.
Hailed as ‘unstoppable’ by PSV boss Roger Schmidt, Sangare has made a huge impact for PSV since arriving from Toulouse in 2020.
At 6ft 3in tall, Sangare is a powerful midfielder with impressive defensive ability and is best suited in front of the back four.
Villa and Newcastle can threaten Leicester for Sangare
Leicester aren’t alone in chasing Sangare though, with two Premier League rivals also keen.

Voetbal International reported earlier this month that Aston Villa are interested in signing Sangare this summer.
Steven Gerrard is desperate for a new holding midfielder and Sangare could be the man.
That would mean another Rodgers v Gerrard battle after the pair fought with Celtic and Rangers.
That VI report added that Newcastle showed a concrete interest in Sangare back in January.
Newcastle may therefore come back in for Sangare this summer, meaning there could be a three-way battle for his signature.
