Nuno Espirito Santo could make a return to Premier League management as Burnley consider a move for the former Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Burnley took the shock decision to sack Sean Dyche earlier this month as they attempt to stay in the Premier League.
The Clarets have yet to bring in a replacement for Dyche and caretaker boss Mike Jackson will continue to be in charge against Wolverhampton Wanderers today.
It’s unclear whether Burnley will look to make an appointment now or in the summer, but names are being linked.
The Daily Mail now claim that Burnley have discussed a number of managers such as Sam Allardyce, Rafael Benitez and Carlos Carvalhal.
Another name allegedly being discussed by Burnley is Nuno, with the Clarets eyeing what would be something of a coup.
Nuno built up a strong reputation at Wolves having taken them to the Premier League and quickly into Europe.
The Portuguese boss left Wolves last summer and, after links to Everton and Crystal Palace, eventually took the Tottenham job.
That seemed liked a terrible match off the bat, and even after three wins to start the season, Nuno was quickly under pressure.

The football was fairly bland and it was no great shock when Tottenham parted ways with Nuno back in November.
It just wasn’t the right fit for anybody involved and Nuno is now waiting for his next managerial opportunity.
Burnley now fancy Nuno as a possible replacement for Dyche, and you can understand why.
Nuno is a conservative manager, maybe not quite as direct as Dyche but still based on a strong defence whilst not exactly being adventurous going forward.
It’s unlikely that Burnley would be able to land Nuno in the Championship, but if they go for the Portuguese boss now, he could face Tottenham on May 15th.
