Liverpool face Everton this weekend in what may be the biggest mismatch we’ve seen in the Merseyside Derby since the dawning of the Premier League.
Indeed, while Everton and Liverpool have been bitter rivals over the years, their fortunes couldn’t be anymore differing at the moment.
The Reds are chasing a historic quadruple, while Everton are well and truly staring down the barrel at the prospect of being relegated.
However, as we all know by now, form can go out of the window in these derby games, and Liverpool will have to be at their best to win this one.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI for this one.

It may not be the most exciting or thought-provoking XI of all time, but we think that Klopp will name an unchanged team here.
As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and after demolishing Manchester United 4-0 in midweek, we expect Klopp to trust the same XI to sweep aside Liverpool’s other great rivals.
Now, that isn’t to say that the Liverpool boss won’t face a couple of selection headaches here. Diogo Jota has been a key performer all season long, but after three exemplary attacking performances vs United from Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, it’s hard to see the Portuguese ace coming back in for this one.
Ibrahima Konate could also stake a claim for starting ahead of Joel Matip here, but after yet another stellar performance against United, we expect Matip to get the nod this time.
