Wales Online report that Leeds United defender Cody Drameh has informed Cardiff City that he would be willing to remain at the club on loan next term. However, Bournemouth have made an enquiry about signing him.

Drameh, 20, went on loan to Cardiff in January after playing five times under Marcelo Bielsa during the first half of the season. There was some angst when Drameh left, with Bielsa not particularly happy at his exit.

However, the loan has since proved to be a good one for the defender – and Jesse Marsch has replaced Bielsa at the Leeds helm. He has played 18 times for the Bluebirds, winning eight games and laying on three assists.

The report claims Drameh has informed Cardiff he is willing to remain on loan in Wales. But Bournemouth, who look nailed on to finish second and gain promotion under Scott Parker, have made an enquiry over a loan deal.

Drameh to leave: Leeds star needs a loan, but where next for right-back?

Drameh has shown Leeds fans, and even Bielsa, that loaning him to Cardiff was the right decision. It gives Leeds a better player when he returns and as the report states, he will likely be assessed during the pre-season interval.

But Drameh has shown that he would rather play in the Championship than be back-up to Luke Ayling – so a loan is likely, and staying at Cardiff would see him get the best part of 50 games under his belt next season.

A move to Bournemouth, which is likely to be in the Premier League, would be a great move. But the question is, would he be first choice under Parker? If so, then a move to the Cherries suits all parties involved.
