According to Sport, Barcelona are now interested in signing Marcus Rashford, who is also a target for Arsenal and Newcastle.

What’s the story?

Well, the £200,000-a-week man is struggling at Manchester United, and according to the Guardian, he’s considering his future at Old Trafford.

The England international has scored just five goals in 30 appearances this season, and has been used sporadically by Ralf Rangnick in recent weeks.

Now, Sport believe Barcelona are keen to sign the 24-year-old, as they value his versatility across the frontline, as well as his vast potential.

The Spanish news outlet add that there has already been contact over a deal for Rashford in the past, and he would be interested in teaming up with Xavi at the Camp Nou.

Erling Haaland was Barcelona’s No.1 target, although the Norway international looks set to join Manchester City.

In our view, Arsenal and Newcastle’s hopes of signing Rashford will take a severe dent if Barcelona really are interested.

It was 90min who revealed that the Gunners and the Magpies are keen, as Mikel Arteta and Eddie Howe look to bolster their respective attacks.

However, the lure of a fresh start in Catalonia, at one of the biggest clubs on the planet, could be too irresistible for Rashford to ignore.

Having said that, money talks, and Newcastle have a lot of it nowadays.

If the Magpies offer Rashford a larger salary than his current £200,000-a-week wages, it has the potential to turn his head.

Keep an eye on this saga, as anything could happen this summer.
