West Ham United have thrown their hat back into the ring to sign Noa Lang now that Club Brugge are warming to the reported Arsenal target leaving in the summer transfer market.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who note Lang may leave the Jan Breydel Stadium after peaking AC Milan’s intrigue. The Serie A side are monitoring the 22-year-old as a potential option to bolster Stefano Pioli’s frontline as the Rossoneri look to build on a strong season.

Pioli has the red-and-black side topping Serie A, but AC Milan are only two points clear of Inter who have played a game less. The Rossoneri also flopped in Europe this term, ending the Champions League group stage bottom of Group B after taking just one win from six.

Lang now has AC Milan and West Ham considering his transfer after striking nine goals and providing 13 assists for Club Brugge so far this term. Seven of his goals and 12 assists have come in 31 Jupiler Pro League outings – only three players in the league have scored more.
Arsenal are also keen on Lang’s transfer, with Gazzetta dello Sport citing the Gunners and AC Milan as possible suitors with Club Brugge setting a €25m (£21m) asking price. But the Rossoneri hold the advantage, as their project has already convinced him to snub Arsenal.

Lang particularly admires the chance to work with Paolo Maldini as the Rossoneri technical director was one of his idols. Yet the San Siro hierarchy are currently reluctant to pay the price tag slapped on the three-cap Netherlands gem who debuted for Holland in October.

AC Milan’s hesitance to pay Club Brugge’s valuation could prove West Ham’s best chance at edging Arsenal to Lang’s transfer. It could possibly also offer David Moyes a chance to atone for failing to secure the former Feyenoord and Ajax prospect’s signature in January.
That’s because Voetbal Belgie reported the Hammers were among a raft of sides to baulk at paying €40m (£33m). West Ham may feel they made the right decision at the time with Club Brugge’s valuation dropping. But Moyes now faces a real struggle to beat out AC Milan.
