Italian outlet Torino Granata claim Torino skipper Andrea Belotti might prefer a move to Newcastle, West Ham or another Premier League club over a Serie A side – with the striker out of contract in the summer.

Belotti, 28, has endured a tricky season at Torino. His seventh season with the Serie A side, he had coming into the campaign with 105 goals in 228 games. Incredible stats, for a side normally sitting in mid-table.

But this term, Belotti has endured numerous muscle injuries and it has limited him to just 19 appearances, in which he has only netted five goals. He is out of contract at Torino this summer and the race is hotting up.

Torino Granata report that alongside Newcastle and West Ham, Italian trio Roma, Atalanta and Inter Milan are keen. But the report suggests that the 42-time Italy star might prefer to try something new, in the Premier League.

Newcastle, West Ham eye Belotti: An absolute no-brainer on a free

It is likely that these two Premier League clubs will not be the only interested parties from England’s top tier. Belotti is a striker that when at his best, is one of Serie’s most-prolific forwards. On a free, he is a must.

If West Ham or Newcastle can get him over the line, it is an enormous coup. West Ham are still on for potential Champions League football if they win the Europa League and that will certainly tempt Belotti this summer.

Newcastle’s cash riches might also appeal to a player that ex-Hammers loanee Hart – who played alongside Belotti for Torino in 2016-17 – said he is similar to Kane: “Andrea is similar to all the great strikers, English or not.”
