Paul Scholes has claimed that ‘Liverpool were bored’ in the second half of their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Tuesday night, as he told Premier League Productions (19/04/22 at 10:30 pm).
The iconic midfielder was making reference to Man United getting the better of Liverpool during the first 20-25 minutes and how you ‘shouldn’t be fooled by it’.
After an abject first 45 minutes, which saw the away team go 2-0 down and then make an attacking change at the break – Jadon Sancho for Phil Jones.
Man United came out fighting in the second, which even caused Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, to snap at one of his players.
Despite all of that, Scholes was having none of it because he feels it was just ‘too easy’ for the Reds and they just ‘needed more motivation’.
“I wouldn’t be fooled by the first 20-25 minutes of the second half,” said Scholes. “Liverpool were bored.
“It was too easy. They just needed more motivation really. They brought Jota on to step it up again, then they went and scored whenever they wanted to, so I wouldn’t be fooled by that.”

In terms of quality and fight, both Liverpool and Man United couldn’t’ be further away.
From the get-go, it felt like the Man United players would have been happy if everyone settled for a 3-0 win to the Premier League title-chasing side.
Man United are the only English team in history to win the treble, their oldest and most bitter rivals are two trophies shy of possibly matching that.
Surley, there would have been motivation and fight, from that regard, to stop that, but no, this Man United team just offered nothing.
