Arsenal are leaving it late to get a deal done with Khayon Edwards – and now Brighton and Hove Albion are hoping to snap him up.
The Gunners have been aware of interest in Edwards for a long time now.
Back in December, the Daily Mail reported that Chelsea, Leeds United, Newcastle United and Southampton all fancied Edwards.
Add in interest from RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach, Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal really risk losing Edwards when his contract expires this summer.
Earlier this month, Football London claimed that Arsenal were hopeful of a breakthrough in talks with Edwards.
Since then though, the noises have been a little less positive.
Goal reported just last week that Chelsea had made an approach to sign Edwards.
Now, Football London claim that Brighton and Hove Albion have made contact in the hope of signing Edwards.
Brighton love to develop young players and a move for Edwards would feel reminiscent of signing Tariq Lamptey.
Lamptey was also in the ranks of a London club in Chelsea but decided to chance his arm at first-team football with Brighton.

That deal certainly worked out well for Lamptey and you could hardly blame Edwards for fancying that same gamble.
Edwards, 18, has hit 16 goals and five assists in 16 Under-18 Premier League games this season.
There are huge hopes for Edwards at Arsenal but can they offer the pathway he wants?
Eddie Nketiah hasn’t been able to nail down a starting role after his rise. Folarin Balogun signed a new deal last summer but finds himself on loan at Middlesbrough.
Edwards may not fancy that path, and with just months of his contract to go, there seems to be a real chance that he moves on.
