Steve Parish has been speaking about his hopes of bringing Conor Gallagher to Crystal Palace on a permanent basis, after the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea.
The 22-year-old has shone at Selhurst Park this season, scoring eight goals while also providing three assists in the Premier League.
Interestingly, Parish added that he’d also be willing to take Ruben Loftus-Cheek, if Thomas Tuchel refused to let Gallagher leave.
What’s the story?
Well, this was a very intriguing comment from the 56-year-old.
As you will know, Loftus-Cheek spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, where he thrived.
The £150,000-a-week man earned a place in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad in 2018 as a result of his fine form for the south Londoners.

Now, the Mirror quote Parish as saying: “If there’s an opportunity to get him (Gallagher) or even Ruben Loftus-Cheek then of course. These are top players and it’s been brilliant having him here this year, not just because of what he does on the pitch.
“Also because of the way he is around the place, the way he is with the media and supporters and because of how special a lad he is.”
It’s not often you hear something like this from a Chairman, but Parish is clearly open to having one of the Chelsea duo back in SE25 next season.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek should join Crystal Palace
In our view, Loftus-Cheek should push for a permanent move to Crystal Palace.
So far this season, the 26-year-old has only made nine starts in the Premier League, and his goal at Wembley was his first of the campaign.

Tuchel uses the England international sporadically, and for a player of Loftus-Cheek’s quality, that isn’t often enough.
He is more than good enough to start in the Premier League on a weekly basis, and having already shone at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace would be a great place to settle down and take England’s top-flight by storm.
