CalcioMercato claim West Ham have joined the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen sensation Moussa Diaby – but the Hammers will face competition from Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle for the Frenchman.

Diaby, 22, has been on fire for Leverkusen this season. Clocking up 37 appearances, the youngster has 27 goal involvements – 16 scored, 11 created. Getting better with age, he is already lethal – turning 23 in July.

Chief Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger reports Arsenal and Newcastle are keen on the £50million talent, while CM say Liverpool want him. Now, David Moyes has joined the hunt for Diaby, one of Europe’s biggest talents.

A player that Jeremie Frimpong branded an “amazing player”. Leverkusen hold all the cards with his contract up in 2025 – but Le Parisien say that Diaby is “obviously” considering leaving amid interest from English clubs.

West Ham join Diaby race: Arsenal, Liverpool or Newcastle?

Which club would be best for the French wonderkid? Liverpool have Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and more. He would be a good replacement for Salah, but the Egyptian looks more and more likely to stay.

Newcastle would see him start week in, week out – but the Toon is without Europe competition. Arsenal might only be in the Europa League but are challenging for the top four. West Ham, similarly.

So, where is best? Arsenal and West Ham. If the Gunners can offload Nicolas Pepe, Diaby would be a stunning signing. If Liverpool sign Jarrod Bowen, or even if they don’t, West Ham should sign him too.
