Marco Asensio is already speaking with his former Real Madrid teammate Theo Hernandez over a summer transfer to AC Milan, despite also receiving a rich proposal to join Arsenal.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWEB, who report the Gunners are one of several clubs to make the Spaniard an offer. Asensio is starting to attract a wide pool of suitors for the next market as he will enter the last year of his contract and is not close to agreeing new terms.
Multiple Premier League outfits have contacted the midfielder’s representatives to explore his possible availability come the off-season. AC Milan are also serious in their pursuit, and have not backed away despite Asensio’s request for a €7m-a-year (£112.5k-a/w) net wage.

Rossoneri chiefs consider the salary excessive, but have the Galacticos maestro high on their shopping list above Domenico Berardi. The San Siro outfit are fond of the Sassuolo star, but want to give boss Stefano Pioli the best upgrade to tackle the Champions League.
Asensio is also considering leaving Real Madrid for AC Milan, despite receiving the transfer offer from Arsenal. He has spoken to former Blancos defender Hernandez several times on the Rossoneri’s project and Pioli’s style of play as he seeks as much information as he can.
Marco Asensio talking to Theo Hernandez over AC Milan move despite Arsenal offer
Asensio speaking with Hernandez over a move to AC Milan will come as a blow for Arsenal and their plans for the Real Madrid star’s transfer. One of his representatives had also told Sport Mediaset, who cite a €25-30m (£21-25m) asking price, of Arsenal’s offer this week.
“Milan’s interest is a pride. A future in Milan is an option, there are also offers from a couple of English clubs, including Arsenal. We are ready to evaluate every possibility,” they said.

Asensio played just 18 games with Hernandez before the left-back joined AC Milan on loan ahead of an £18m permanent transfer from Real Madrid in 2019. They may now reunite in the summer and delay Mikel Arteta’s plans for the Gunners’ off-season spending this year.
Arsenal are keen on the 26-year-old’s transfer as Asensio has scored 10 and assisted a goal over 34 games this season, despite the midfielder – who ex-Spain boss Vicente del Bosque deems ‘world-class’ – only starting 19 of his appearances in Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
