Arsenal and Liverpool are often linked with the same players, and Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler appears to be the latest name on their radars.
The Premier League’s biggest sides are often thrown into transfer speculation for players across the world.
The Turkish media are all too happy to play along, linking Arsenal and Liverpool with a host of players over the years.
This time it’s Fenerbahce ace Guler, with Fanatik claiming that Arsenal and Liverpool will both scout him against Galatasaray this weekend.
Bayern Munich are also thought to be interested with the 17-year-old attracting interest from Europe’s big hitters.
Guler, 17, was actually on the books at Genclirbirligi before heading to Fenerbahce back in 2019.
A diminutive playmaker with great balance, quick feet and the ability to wriggle out of tight spaces to create in the final third.
Guler looks like becoming a star in the coming years having shown huge potential in Turkey, already bagging two goals and two assists in just eight league games.
It’s therefore no great surprise that Guler is attracting interest from a number of clubs, with Arsenal and Liverpool watching closely.
Liverpool are thought set to sign another teenage playmaker in Fabio Carvalho, and you wonder whether adding another one in Guler would be a priority.
It’s also worth noting that Ben Doak is joining Liverpool from Celtic, so that’s another attacking midfield talent.

Whilst a move to Anfield seems hard to imagine, Arsenal could make a little more sense.
Martin Odegaard is a fantastic number 10 but moulding Guler to compete with him would allow Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe to focus down the left flank.
Left-footed Guler will naturally earn comparisons to Mesut Ozil, and his style of play seems rather similar to Odegaard interns of his balance and guile.
As a prospect for the future, Guler could be what Arsenal are seeking – and Sunday’s game could help Edu decide whether to make a move.
