PSV Eindhoven starlet Noni Madueke has told Sky Sports that he wants to return to England – and could even make such a move this summer. Leeds and Tottenham have been linked with the England U21 star this season.

London-born Madueke, 20, joined PSV back in the summer of 2018 from Tottenham’s academy. The winger only played once for Tottenham’s Under-18 side. He has since gone on to break into PSV’s senior side.

Ahead of this season, he had nine goals and eight assists in 36 senior games. This term, he has played 30 times – scoring another nine and creating five. However, numerous muscle injuries have hampered his momentum.

The Evening Standard reported last summer that Leeds and Tottenham were among the clubs interest in Madueke. Now, he returns to England with PSV to face Leicester in the Conference League – and discussed his future.

“I definitely want to play there next,” Madueke told Sky Sports, when asked about a return to England. “This summer or whenever it is, for now, I am focusing on the rest of the season. It is definitely an ambition of mine.”

Madueke on England: Where would be best for PSV star this summer?

While a return to Tottenham would be romantic, he would hardly get a kick. Tottenham are well stocked out wide especially after Dejan Kulusevski – so much so that Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura are struggling to start.

A move to Leeds would be much better for Madueke, especially with Raphinha looking more and more likely to join Barcelona this summer. Leicester have also been linked and again, it would be a good move.
