Speaking on his YouTube channel, Charles Watts has delivered an update on Kieran Tierney’s injury, and unfortunately, it’s bad news.
Arsenal announced this week that Tierney will likely miss the remainder of this season, but Watts has given a much more definitive update, stating that the Scot will definitely not play again this year.
In fact, Watts says that the full-back may not be fully fit and ready until early July.
What’s been said?
Watts shared what he knows about Tierney.
“Arsenal said on the statement on their website that Tierney would most likely miss the rest of the season. The fact is that he’s out for the season, there’s no doubt about it. I was speaking to someone yesterday at the club, and they said that the time schedule they’re looking for is that he’ll be fully ready for the start of pre-season training, which is in July, so it’s several months out for Tierney, so bad news for him and certainly bad news for Arsenal,” Watts said.

Season-defining
The sad reality is that this injury could define Arsenal’s final position this season.
The Gunners are in a real battle for the top four, but without Tierney, their team is so much weaker.
Nuno Tavares has been, with all due respect, poor in his last few appearances, and while the likes of Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka can play at left-back, the Gunners would be sacrificing a lot from their midfield or attack if they reshuffle their pack in that way.
Losing Tierney is a huge blow for Arsenal at this point in the season.
