Divock Origi’s agent has reportedly been in talks with Fenerbahce over a potential transfer despite the Liverpool striker agreeing to join AC Milan at the end of this season.
According to Turkish publication Takvim, Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has been in England to discuss a move to Istanbul with Origi’s representatives despite the Belgian international seemingly standing on the verge of signing for the first-place Serie A side.
CalcioMercato reported last week that an agreement in principle had been reached with the Rossoneri for Origi. However, it now appears that Fenerbahce have come in at the eleventh hour to try and swoop the 26-year-old away from Milan, who looked set to sign the striker.
As per Takvim, Fenerbahce have already drawn up a three-year contract for Origi, a deal that is 12 months shorter than the one Milan have reportedly agreed with the Liverpool star as this transfer saga takes an unexpected U-turn.
Hailed as a Liverpool ‘legend’ by Jamie Carragher, the future of Origi now seems up in the air despite Milan looking certain to sign the former LOSC Lille star, with Fenerbahce now launching a transfer offensive of their own this week.
Indeed, whilst Milan would be the better club to move to for Origi, Fenerbahce could be better positioned to offer the striker more playing time, with the Turkish giants also likely to qualify for Europe after clawing their way up the Super Lig following a dreadful opening half of the season.
Origi has a major transfer decision to make with Milan and Fenerbahce

With two huge clubs fighting for his signature, Origi has a big career decision to make this summer with Milan and Fenerbahce both now eager on signing the Liverpool star, who could flourish at either side.
The styles of both Serie A and the Super Lig could see Origi become a superstar in Italy or Turkey, and for the attacker, it will likely come down to personal preference over which club the forward wants to join this summer.
