Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma will have to pay Aston Villa €30 million (£25.15m) for Douglas Luiz, according to Il Romanista.
Il Romanista have reported that AS Roma want to sign the 23-year-old Brazil international central midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Italian club will have to pay €25-€30 million (£20.96m-£25.15m) for Luiz.
Because, well, that is what Villa want… reportedly.
In February, well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on his podcast that Arsenal ‘have an interest’ in Luiz, who was described as “unbelievable” by then Villa manager Dean Smith in The Birmingham Mail in June 2020.

Should Arsenal pay £25m for Douglas Luiz?
In our opinion, if Arsenal finish in the Premier League top four, then they should pay the €30 million (£25.15m) needed for Luiz.
The 23-year-old Brazilian is a very good midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park and can impose himself on the game.
Luiz has done well in the Premier League, and we do not think that he will take any time to adapt to Arsenal and will be able to hit the ground running.
Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are the two main central midfielders, but Luiz is much younger and could be a signing for the long term for Arsenal.
