The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour is scheduled for this week, but Shiny hunters will want to skip it.
Not only do we have a full schedule confirmed for the coming months, but we also know which Spotlight Hours will include the best chance for grabbing a shiny Pokemon. And with the latest news now shared by Niantic, some trainers might want to skip the upcoming Stunky Spotlight Hour for those planned for Bunnelby and Oddish.
Here’s what we know about April’s first Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour and what rewards will be included.
First Spotlight Hour For April 2022
The first Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour for April 2022 will be Stunky, starting at 6pm local time and ending at 7pm local time on Tuesday, April 5. The thing to note here is that this event happens every week and uses a rotating cycle of different Pocket Monsters. During this short window, Stunky will have a boosted spawn rate and will also come packaged with a special double bonus. The Stunky Spotlight Hour rewards will include 2× Candy for transferring Pokemon, meaning there’s going to be a lot of Candy up for grabs.
- To transfer a Pokemon:
- From the Map View, tap the Main Menu button.
- Tap the Pokemon button.
- Select a Pokemon from your list.
- Tap the Menu button and select Transfer.
You can’t transfer your active Buddy Pokemon, favourited Pokémon, or Pokémon currently defending Gyms. Niantic also makes it possible to transfer en masse, rather than having to do it one by one.
What Are The Shiny Stunky Spotlight Hour Odds?
According to Niantic, Shiny Stunky odds will be low, as they are not included in the boosted spawn rates. The official schedule confirms that the April 5 Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour will not feature Shiny Stunky, but that Bunnelby on April 12, and Oddish on April 19, will.
