Robbie Fowler has suggested in The Daily Mirror that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign Harry Kane from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool star believes that Tottenham striker Kane is a bit like Roberto Firmino as he can drop deep and link up play.
Fowler wrote in The Daily Mirror: “United will be in, for sure, and this is a bit left-field, but I’ve said before that Liverpool could do worse than go for him, because he’s got that ability to drop deep like Firmino, and he can guarantee goals.
“So he has a question to ask: Are Spurs closer now to winning trophies? I think objectively, and without appearing to put them down, most people would say they’re further away than before.”
Harry Kane to Liverpool is unlikely
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Kane will join Liverpool from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Now, of course, we all know just how good the 28-year-old England international striker.
Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet, and he can also create chances and provide assists.

We have no doubt that the 28-year-old would fit in nicely at Liverpool under manager Jurgen Klopp.
However, we do not think that Liverpool will be afford to sign Kane.
Or even want to.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to accept anything less than the £150 million he wanted from Manchester City for Kane last summer.
Moreover, Liverpool invested £37 million on Luiz Diaz in the January transfer window, and it now looks likely that Mohamed Salah will sign an expensive new contract as well.
