Arsenal could now make a move to sign Shakhtar Donetsk defender Dodo as they seek to bring a new right back to the Emirates Stadium.
That’s according to Brazilian news outlet UOL Esporte, who claim that Arsenal are right in the mix to sign Dodo.
Bayern Munich allegedly really like Dodo whilst Championship club Bournemouth have a rather ambitious interest in signing him too.
It’s suggested that Shakhtar want around €20million (£17million) for Dodo, with approaches seemingly coming in left- right and centre.
That’s because a number of foreign players are leaving Ukrainian football amid the ongoing war with Russia.
Shakhtar duo Tete and Vinicius Tobias have both moved to Lyon and Real Madrid respectively with more departures to come.
In Dodo’s case though, he allegedly wants to wait until June to sort out his new club, meaning he may simply sit out the final months of the European season.
Ukrainian football is understandably suspended right now and Dodo is seemingly prepared to wait until the summer to find a new club.
Arsenal are positioning themselves for a move with technical director Edu no doubt familiar with many top Brazilian talents around the world.

Dodo, 23, absolutely fits that bill as a diminutive yet speedy and exciting right back who can get forward well.
With four assists in 14 league games this season, Dodo may be what Arsenal want in terms of an attack-minded full back who can support Takehiro Tomiyasu.
What’s interesting is that Tottenham allegedly made a bid for Dodo last summer – worth around the £17million Shakhtar now want – but the offer was snubbed.
Dodo could still find his way to North London after all, with Arsenal now considering swooping in and luring the Brazilian to the Premier League.
