Steve McManaman has said on BT Sports 1 (1:58pm, April 2, 2022) that Mohamed Salah struggled for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool against Watford at Anfield.
McManaman was on co-commentary duty for the Premier League game between Liverpool and Watford on Saturday afternoon for BT Sport.
The former Liverpool star believes that Salah struggled.
McManaman said about Salah on BT Sports 1 (1:58pm, April 2, 2022): “That was not his greatest game, Mo Salah, but that happens. Not a problem.”
Mohamed Salah disappointing for Liverpool
In our opinion, Salah was far from his best for Liverpool against Watford in the Premier League today.
We were not surprised when Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided to take off the 29-year-old Egypt international forward in the second half.

The former Chelsea attacker took three shots, but none was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 84%, took 49 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles.
It was a disappointing display from Salah, who misfired in front of goal.
However, there was no harm done in the end, as Liverpool won the match to maintain their chances of winning the Premier League title ahead of defending champions Manchester City.
Moreover, we should consider that Salah is still probably hurting from failing to win against Sadio Mane’s Senegal in the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff final.
