Tim Sherwood has said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show that Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips would improve Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager does not think that Phillips would get much playing time at Manchester City or Liverpool.
According to 90min earlier in the week, Arsenal have registered their interest in the 26-year-old England international midfielder.
Sherwood said on The Kelly & Wrighty Show, as transcribed by MOTLeedsNews: “I don’t think he’ll leave for money. He’s a trophy man.
“If he goes to Manchester City or Liverpool, he might not play for them. He improves Manchester United, Spurs and Arsenal.”

Tottenham should monitor Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips
In our opinion, Tottenham should keep an eye on Phillips with a view to making a move for him in the summer transfer window.
The West Yorkshire club could get relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, and that could make it hard for them to keep hold of the midfielder even though he is a Leeds fan.
Phillips is a very good central midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park as well as impose himself on the game.
The England international can also drive the team forward.
Tottenham are reported interested in another Leeds player, winger Jack Harrison, and we think that the North London club should monitor Phillips as well.
