According to the Evening Standard, Djed Spence could cost as little as £12m this summer amid interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, this would be a complete and utter bargain for one of the Premier League trio.
The Evening Standard reiterate Arsenal and Tottenham are interested, whereas it was the Northern Echo who revealed Liverpool are keen.
Spence is currently shining on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he has scored three goals and provided five assists in 37 appearances.
Middlesbrough own the 21-year-old.
However, with just one year remaining on his contract when he returns to the Riverside Stadium, the Evening Standard claim senior sources at Boro feel they have no chance of keeping him.
Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the English wonderkid.
Tottenham need to outbid Arsenal and Liverpool

In our view, Tottenham need to win this race – they cannot afford to miss out on Spence.
Liverpool are set for a right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold in their ranks, arguably Europe’s best in that position.
Arsenal are also sorted, as Mikel Arteta has Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares to choose from.

In Tottenham’s case, Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty have struggled to shine for Spurs, with Antonio Conte unconvinced by the pair of them.
According to The Athletic, the Italian is searching for a new right-back.
Therefore, if anyone needs Spence this summer, it’s Tottenham.
Keep an eye on this saga, as the Middlesbrough prodigy will surely be the subject of an interest transfer battle this summer.
