Last night, Brazil hammered Bolivia by four goals to nil, with Newcastle maestro Bruno Guimaraes among the scorers.

Another name on the scoresheet was Lucas Paqueta, a close friend of Guimaraes from their time together at Lyon.

Interestingly, le10sport are claiming that Newcastle want to sign the South American, after submitting a £34m bid in January.

Now, Mehrdad Ghodoussi has laid eyes on what Paqueta can do.

What’s the story?

Well, aside from scoring, Paqueta actually provided the assist for Guimaraes to score with a lovely chipped through ball.

Intriguingly, Ghodoussi reacted to this footage, not through the use of words, but fire emojis instead.

You can see footage of Paqueta’s assist, and the Newcastle co-owner’s reaction, below.

Clearly, Ghodoussi was impressed by what he saw from the Brazilian.

For what it’s worth, Guimaraes also provided an assist as well as scoring, as he slid in a fantastic through ball for Paqueta to score.

Newcastle must sign Lucas Paqueta

Evidently, the pair’s relationship is just as good on the pitch as it is away from it, as Guimaraes and Paqueta tore Bolivia apart.

In our view, Newcastle would be foolish not to submit another bid for the Lyon No.10 in the summer window.

Paqueta is a wonderful football, and has recorded 14 goal involvements in total for Lyon this season, which is a good return.

If Newcastle could construct an all-Brazilian midfield of Joelinton, Guimaraes and Paqueta, they would be a force to be reckoned with next season.
