Discussions within Tottenham Hotspur paint the picture of a bleak north London future for Troy Parrott, who Antonio Conte has never spoken to since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.
That’s according to The Athletic, who report talks at Spurs over Parrott’s future expect the 20-year-old will not become a first-team player at the club. He is currently on loan with MK Dons in League One, but must finish the season strongly and also succeed again next term.
Parrott will enter the last year of his contract at the end of the current campaign, although Tottenham have the option to extend his deal by a year. It is likely that Spurs will activate the clause – at least to protect his value – before sending the forward out on another loan.

Spurs plan to strengthen their centre-forward options in the off-season with a proven star to support Harry Kane. Their arrival will likely leave Parrott out in the cold, and bound for a Championship or League One loan. MK Dons could provide an option in either next season.
Antonio Conte has never spoken to ‘incredible’ Tottenham gem Troy Parrott
MK Dons would happily sign Parrott on loan from Tottenham again in the summer transfer window. He is currently helping Liam Manning’s Dons fight for promotion this season, with the Stadium MK side third in League One. They are three points from the automatic places.
The Milton Keynes outfit are also four points behind third-tier leaders Rotherham after 39 games, two more than second-place Wigan. Parrott has helped to their standing with five goals and six assists over 34 appearances. But he has only scored twice since September.

Parrott started strongly with three goals and four assists over his first 10 appearances in the third-tier. Yet his output has dried up, while also shifted out onto the wing. Yet he still earns praise from MK Dons teammates, such as on-loan West Ham talent Conor Coventry.
“Troy is class,” Coventry said earlier this week, via the MK Citizen. “Obviously, I played with him before, so I know his quality. I’m not surprised by how good he is.
‘The way he’s been working for the team has been incredible, and it shows that he is still developing and learning. He’s a quality player, and I’m just happy to play with him every week.”
But Parrott’s work out on loan with MK Dons is not impressing Tottenham chiefs, or senior boss Conte, it seems. So, next season could prove a sink-or-swim season for the striker.
