Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are ‘serious contenders’ to sign Christopher Scott and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich could sell for just £250,000, as reported by the Daily Record.
A couple of years ago, the 2020 Champions League winners snatched two exciting young prospects from under the Glasgow giants’ nose; Barry Hepburn and Liam Morrison.
But revenge, as they say, is best served cold. And in the transfer market.
Sky Deutschland broke the news earlier this week, claiming that 19-year-old Scott is weighing up a move away from the Allianz Arena.

The Germany youth international trained with Bayern’s first team under Hansi Flick and played 32 minutes of Bundesliga football in 2020/21.
But, with A-listers Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane and co ahead of Scott in the FC Hollywood pecking order, Scott believes that he may have no choice but to move away from Munich if he is to become a regular at senior level.
According to Sky, the talented teen has held talks with Celtic and Brentford. Oh how the tables have turned, hey Celtic fans?
Will Celtic snatch a Bayern Munich wonderkid?
“It’s clear that Glasgow Celtic would be a massive option for him and they have been in talks,” a source tells the Daily Record. “But the English Premier League is also an option for someone who is a massive talent.
“Celtic are serious contenders because they are a massive club. And they are very serious about trying to sign him.
“Bayern Munich at the moment aren’t well known for bringing players into the first team and Christopher is looking for a new challenge.”
Scott is due to become a free-agent in July. Bayern will trigger an extension clause in his contract, however, before selling Scott for a minimal fee, albeit with a potential buy-back clause.
Sky suggested that Celtic may have to pay around £600,000. But, according to the Record, just £250,000 could be enough.

“He’s got good speed, is good on the ball and has done very well in training,” Flick said about Scott recently.
The forward has even been likened to Kai Havertz due to his elegance in possession and his ability to drift into pockets in the final third.
“Scott is adept at receiving the ball on the half-turn from deep and instantly launching attacks,” the Bundesliga’s website says.
“Quick, strong and an excellent dribbler, the right-footer is programmed to cause problems for opposing backlines. Very much like fellow Leverkusen academy graduate Kai Havertz.”
