Last night, Liverpool were surely left in amazement as Jude Bellingham ran the show at Wembley, helping England to a 3-0 win over the Ivory Coast.
According to Bild, Jürgen Klopp has now become personally involved in Liverpool’s pursuit of the 18-year-old gem, with a move potentially happening in 2023.

Interestingly, Borussia Dortmund are said to be open to negotiating a deal worth £84m for their all-action midfield maestro.
Now, if this happens, we think it would be a seismic transfer for the Reds.
What’s the story?
Well, if there’s one area you could deem as weak at Anfield, it’s the midfield.
Even that feel unfair, as Klopp can choose from the likes of Fabinho, Thiago, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.
Perhaps the word unsettled is more fitting. At the back, it tends to be Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson.

However, the midfield is often rotated, and there isn’t really a superstar of Alisson, Van Dijk or Mohamed Salah’s profile in there.
Bellingham would certainly be that man.
You could argue that Thiago and Fabinho are superstars, but if the 18-year-old was signed, Liverpool would gain a player who isn’t injury prone like Thiago, while he also has around 15 years left at the top level, which Fabinho didn’t when he arrived.
For many reasons, Bellingham would be a marquee signing in every sense of the phrase, someone who can rise to become the outright best in their position like Alisson, Van Dijk and Salah are.
Jude Bellingham would transform Liverpool
Klopp’s system at Anfield is heavily reliant on transitions, meaning players have to be ready to defend, then attack in the blink of an eye – it’s intense stuff, to say the least.

Bellingham is therefore perfect for such a setup, as his athleticism can carry him from one end of the pitch to another, while his skillset is suitable for both jobs.
He is a strong tackler with bundles of energy, but also someone who can inject real quality into the final third – so far this season, the teenager has scored six goals, while also providing 13 assists.
To put it simply, Bellingham could take this Liverpool side up a level – Klopp cannot miss out on his signature.
