Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have reportedly received a boost in their quest to reclaim the Premier League title from Manchester City, with Naby Keita set to be fit.

The Athletic have reported today that the injury that Keita picked up against Nottingham Forest is ‘minor.

The 27-year-old midfield had to withdraw from the Guinea squad last week due to the knee problem.

Naby Keita news encouraging for Liverpool

In our opinion, Keita not being on the sidelines for long is a boost for Liverpool.

Yes, the 27-year-old is not a regular in the Liverpool first team, but he is certainly a player who is rated highly by Liverpool manager Klopp.

Klopp described Keita as “an exceptional footballer” in The Mirror earlier this month.

Liverpool will have to play against Manchester City in the Premier League next month.

It could be a decisive game in the Premier League title race.

Klopp will need all of his players fit and available for the final weeks of the season, and Keita will be a good option for him.

Let’s not forget that Liverpool are also aiming to win the Champions League and the FA Cup this season.

Keita has scored six goals in 68 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far in his career.

The midfielder has made 10 starts and five substitute appearances in the league for the Reds so far this season.
