Nowadays, a number of gems are emerging from the Hale End Academy at Arsenal, following the emergence of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.
The Gunners have prospects such as Omari Hutchinson coming through, but Marcelo Flores – already a senior international for Mexico – could be the next debutant under Mikel Arteta.

Impressively, the 18-year-old has scored ten goals in 20 appearances this season, while also providing three assists.
Now, footage has emerged of Flores pulling off an incredible rabona cross for Mexico, which very nearly led to a phenomenal goal.
What’s the story?
Well, the Canada-born wonderkid is clearly full of confidence at the moment.
As you can see below, the teenager pulled off an audacious, skilful cross against Uruguay, which landed straight on his teammate’s head.
Unfortunately, their headed attempt only found the crossbar, robbing Flores of a truly outstanding assist.

Nevertheless, it was an eye-catching moment from the attacking midfielder, who has been a joy to watch this season.
Marcelo Flores deserves Arsenal debut
In our view, the Mexico international – who Arteta is said to be a big fan of – has earned the right to make his Arsenal debut.
Flores has been in exceptional form for the Under-18 side this season, and has even made the step up into the Under-23 setup.

If Arsenal can seal Champions League qualification before the season is over, and Arteta gets the chance to play an experimental side, the Spaniard simply cannot overlook Flores.
If not, then the exciting prospect has to be a regular inclusion in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup lineups next season – his talent cannot be overlooked.
