Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United appears to be nearing its end, with the French international likely to depart Old Trafford this summer when his contract expires.
Signed in 2016 for a then-world record fee of £93m as per the Guardian, Pogba’s return to the Manchester giants will be debated amongst United fans over whether it was a success or not, with the former Juventus star winning just two trophies during his second spell with the club.
Indeed, there’s no denying Pogba’s world-class qualities. And at 29, the midfielder is reaching the prime of his career. So which three clubs should be looking at signing the United talisman this summer if he is to leave at the end of his contract?
Arsenal

A boyhood Arsenal fan, Pogba to the Gunners seems like a transfer that you will only see on FIFA 22 Career Mode. And yet, there is some logical reasons why the midfielder would be a solid signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
For starters, the north London side are looking to sign a central midfielder this summer, with a partner for Thomas Partey a priority for Arsenal, and Pogba could be an outstanding addition for the club.
Moreover, with Alexandre Lacazette set to leave at the end of his contract following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s exit in January, Arsenal have an abundance of wage space to fill up this summer, something that the Gunners could flex to sign Pogba ahead of next season.
PSG
The current favourites to land Pogba if reports are to be believed, Pogba returning to the city of his birth seems like an almost fairytale story, even more so given the state PSG find themselves in ahead of a potentially club-changing summer.
With Mauricio Pochettino set to depart Paris and numerous members of both the backroom and playing staff likely to follow suit, PSG have one heck of a rebuild project on their hands, and Pogba could be part of the solution.
Indeed, the 29-year-old could be an incredible partner for Marco Verratti in the PSG midfield, and with Pogba eager to win silverware in his career, the French giants are perfect for the France international.
Real Madrid

For a time, it always felt like Pogba would one day end up as a Real Madrid player. After all, the United star has the quality and finesse on the pitch and the following and character off it to become a modern-day Galactico.
And now, in 2022, this dream could become a reality, with Madrid looking to improve their central midfield as well as lower the age with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos entering the twilight of their career.
With Pogba a perfect Madrid player who fits the club ethos, it feels like a no-brainer that the La Liga giants will make a move for the former Juventus star this summer. Yet whether they will be able to sign him is another question entirely.
