Arsenal Technical Director Edu has made contact with the representatives of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, according to Football.London.
Football.London have reported that Arsenal are keen on signing Nunez from Benfica in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have stepped up their pursuit of the 22-year-old striker, who is on the shortlist at the North London club.
Exciting Darwin Nunez report for Arsenal fans
In our opinion, Edu making contact for Nunez is really exciting for Arsenal fans.
It shows how serious Arsenal are about the Uruguay international who is “electric” and “has something different”, according to former Manchester City defender Micah Richards on CBS Sports (15/03/22 at 10:10 pm).

Nunez has scored 20 goals and given two assists in the Portuguese league and four goals in the Champions League so far this season.
The striker is only 22, and there is very reason to believe that he will get better.

Arsenal are doing well at the moment and could end up in the Premier League top four this season.
If the Gunners are in the Champions League next season, then they would be very appealing to Nunez and would also be able to afford him as well.
