Wales manager Rob Page has hinted that Rangers midfielder Aaron Ramsey has picked up a knock while on international duty. The on-loan Ibrox star played the entire match as Wales secured a crucial 2-1 win over Austria.
Both Wales superstars Ramsey and Gareth Bale are lacking in match sharpness – but saw out the entire game in Cardiff last week. Bale got two goals, but has only managed five appearances for Madrid this season.

Meanwhile, Ramsey has gone on loan to Rangers after clocking up just five games for Juventus during the first half of the season. The ex-Arsenal ace has endured a couple of knocks during his Rangers spell.
It has limited the injury-plagued Ramsey to just six appearances himself, though he did start for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side last time out – a win over Dundee in which he scored. His fitness was put to the test with Wales.
Page said – as per the Record – that Ramsey “struggled” towards the end of the game along with Bale, clutching groins and hamstrings. He is yet to make a decision if they will feature against Czech Republic on Tuesday.
“They both struggled towards the end of the game. You could see both of them were holding their groins and hamstrings. They both had a tough 95 minutes,” Page said.
“We’ll have another night tonight and we’ll make that decision in the morning whether we involve them in the 23. They’re not going to start, so it’s whether they’re in the 23.”
Page on Ramsey: Rangers need midfielder against Celtic on Sunday
While Ramsey is yet to show his best for Rangers, due to match fitness and a lack of momentum, van Bronckhorst will need his best players if the Gers are to beat Celtic come Sunday. Ramsey is, on his day, his side’s best player.
The fact Page states Ramsey could be in the squad against the Czech Republic is encouraging, but that he was holding a muscle against Austria is a concern. With Alfredo Morelos a concern, Rangers need Ramsey fit.
