Wolves centre-back Romain Saiss is reportedly a target for as many as seven clubs this summer, with multiple sides interested in signing the Moroccan international.

According to L’Equipe, the likes of Olympique Marseille, Real Betis and Villarreal are keen on the 28-year-old, with Lyon, Stade Rennais and Wolfsburg also keeping tabs on Saiss, who could depart Wolves this summer.

The former Angers star has been a mainstay in Bruno Lage’s system this season, with Saiss starting 28 games for Wolves in one of the tightest defences in the Premier League this campaign.

However, despite playing a key role for Wolves, Saiss could be set to depart the Molineux side in the summer, with Lage potentially ready to improve the defence even further. And mass interest in the centre-back could indicate a change in personnel.

Labelled as ‘unbelievable’ by Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder, Saiss has been part of the furniture at Wolves for some time, with the 59-cap Moroccan international making over 200 appearances for the club since joining in 2016.

However, it now looks like the Wolves titan will be calling time on his time with the Premier League side, and for Saiss, he has plenty of big-name options to choose from ahead of the summer transfer window.

Wolves should allow Saiss to leave after success with the club

The defender joined Wolves during their years in the Championship. And since then, Saiss has grown with the club to become an established defender in the Premier League and a key clog for one of the meanest defences in the division.

However, with so many clubs interested in Saiss, Wolves should allow the defender to leave this summer, with Lage no doubt already having some centre-back options on his radar on what could be a huge transfer window for the Molineux club.
