There is ‘growing optimism’ at Leeds United that Raphinha will not leave for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool or any other club, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Liverpool are among the clubs who are keen on signing Raphinha from Leeds in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also reported to be keen on the Brazil international winger.

90min have reported that Leeds are now getting more and more optimistic about keeping Raphinha at Elland Road beyond the end of the season.

The 25-year-old is ‘hugely impressed’ by new Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch and is not speaking to other clubs at the moment in order to focus on ascertaining the Whites’ Premier League status for next season.

Raphinha transfer blow for Liverpool

In our opinion, if Leeds do not want to sell Raphinha in the summer transfer window, then they will not be forced to do so.

Yes, we know that Liverpool are a massive club, and playing for Klopp would be appealing to the Brazilian, described as “unbelievable” by former Arsenal star Paul Merson on Sky Sports this month.

However, if Leeds stay in the Premier League, then they will not be forced into selling the winger, unless, of course, Liverpool pay what the Whites want.

Raphinha has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 26 Premier League starts for Leeds so far this season.
