My dress-Up Darling manga passes a new milestone

The My-Dress Up Darling manga series recently passed two exciting new milestones, thanks to the launch of the extremely popular anime series on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

According to Aniplex, via AnimeNewsNetwork, the manga had more than 5 million physical copies in circulation worldwide by February 22nd, 2022.

This is 1.5 million copies higher than the sales reported at the start of the year, before the anime series had premiered on January 8th. Now, the manga has exceeded another milestone; with 5.5 million copies in circulation!

However, as noted by Anime News Network, these are not sale statistics; “The manga has released 2 million more copies since the anime premiered, but all 2 million copies have not yet sold.”

The series is written by Shinichi Fukada and is serialised by the Square Enix publishers, running in the Young Gangan Comics magazine in Japan.

My Dress-Up Darling released its first chapter back in January 2018, with a total of nine complete manga volumes being published in Japan – with volume nine dropping on March 25th, 2022.

Author Fukada reacted to the new milestone on social media, tweeting that “The cumulative total has exceeded 5 million copies. Thank you to everyone who purchased it!”

Where to read the My Dress-Up Darling manga in English

Physical volumes of the manga can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Indigo.

Fans can also read the manga online through various digital platforms, also from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Indigo.
