Speaking on Tottenham Hotspur’s YouTube channel, Fabio Paratici has been discussing some of Spurs’ defenders.
Cristian Romero has been arguably Spurs’ most notable defensive performer in recent weeks, and while Paratici says he’s been an important player, he reserved special praise for Eric Dier.
Indeed, Paratici labelled Dier as ‘amazing’, while he also said good things about Joe Rodon, Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez.

Paratici discussed Spurs’ defence.
“He is an important player for us, but it’s not just him who has a big impact. The other defenders are working well at the moment. Eric Dier is amazing, Sanchez, Tanganga and Rodon, when they play, they are playing well, so we are happy,” Paratici said.
Been brilliant
Paratici is absolutely right about Dier, ever since Antonio Conte arrived at Spurs, he’s been brilliant.
He’s settled into that central centre-half role perfectly, and Conte has even claimed that he can become one of the best defenders on the planet under his tutelage.
Unfortunately for Dier, his good form hasn’t been rewarded with an England call-up, but if he keeps playing at this level, it surely won’t be long before Gareth Southgate sits up and takes notice of the Tottenham ace.
Romero may have been a Paratici signing, but the Italian is absolutely right to point out Dier’s brilliance in the backline.
