
Moussa Diaby has admitted to Le Parisien that he is ‘obviously’ considering leaving Bayer Leverkusen with Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United reportedly keen on his transfer.
The Frenchman has enjoyed a prolific season at the BayArena so far with 16 goals and nine assists. His efforts include 12 goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga, while hitting four in the Europa League. Two of his German top-flight strikes came against Borussia Dortmund.
Diaby’s form marks another step up for the 22-year-old, after he scored 10 and assisted 15 goals last season. His 2020/21 performances additionally returned his senior France debut in September under Didier Deschamps, and Diaby is yet to miss a Les Bleus call-up since.

But it remains to be seen for how much longer the forward is tearing up the Bundesliga in North Rhine-Westphalia. Chief Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger reports Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United are keen on Diaby, who Bayer Leverkusen value at €60m (£50m).
Liverpool are also interested in signing Diaby, per Calciomercato. While Berger notes Die Werkself are monitoring AS Roma winger Carles Perez as Diaby’s potential replacement.

Diaby has just added fresh fuel to the fire of speculation around the Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle target leaving Bayer Leverkusen by admitting he is now considering a transfer.
“Obviously, I’m thinking about it, but not too much yet,” he said. “I remain focused on the end of the season. For the moment, it is my only concern.”

The World Cup in Qatar will play a key role in Diaby’s thinking once the Bayer Leverkusen star does give more thought to his future. He added that “we will have to make the right choice” and “whatever choice I make, I will play hard with the hope of being in this list”.
Diaby has three years to run on the contract extension he agreed with Bayer Leverkusen in December 2020. Die Werkself would also owe Paris Saint-Germain 20% of any fee received for the Paris-born dynamo as part of the €15m (£12.5m) deal which took him to Germany.
